Release Notes: February 23, 2025

New features included in this release:

Manage workflows at the company level

Company administrators will notice a new "Company Workflows" option in the My Company area. Administrators can create and manage visual workflows at the company level and make them available for projects using the "Project Eligibility" tab. Administrators can add Company Share Groups and Company Form Types to each Company Workflow. Updating the steps of your workflows can now be done in one location instead of having to navigate in and out of individual projects. For more information on how to create Company Workflows, click here.

Define default values for text fields

When customizing single-line and multi-line text fields at the company and project levels, administrators can now add a default value that shows immediately to users when they create new forms. Default values will be shown to all users that have read/write and read-only access to the field. For more information on adding default values to custom fields, click here.

Define default rows in collections (for checklists and inspections)

Collections continue to be one of the most commonly used custom field types in ProjectTeam.com. Administrators can now define default rows to set up more structured collections for checklists and/or inspections on forms. When default rows are added, users can no longer create their own rows, delete rows, or reorder rows. Field-level access controls permissions to the fields within each row, allowing administrators to set up columns as read-only if needed. Read more about configuring default rows in collections here.

Sync business fields on cost forms with the project directory

When users create contracts, they can fill in the "From Business" and "To Business" fields, among other information. The business-related fields are pulled from a list of businesses in the project directory and synced in case changes are made in the directory. If the business becomes unlinked for some reason, such as a user further editing the name of the business on the contract form, an "unlinked" icon will be shown. There is no requirement to choose a business from the directory when setting up a contract, but an unlinked business may affect some financial integrations, and therefore, a warning icon will appear.

Other updates and bug fixes 🐛

NEW: In the project administration areas, administrators can now bulk remove users from a share group instead of removing one at a time.

NEW: When a contract form is approved, the "To Business" and "From Business" fields are locked and will stay in sync with downstream forms, including PCOs, COs, and Payment Applications.

NEW: The "Business Name" field in the Business Directory has been increased to 255 characters (previously 50 characters).

FIXED: Editing a field within a collection is now correctly showing activity for that collection, instead of repeating the activity for each collection on the form.

FIXED: When a user is on any tab of a form and they click the "Edit" button, they will remain on that tab in edit mode instead of being redirected to the first tab of the form.

FIXED: When a file is put into markup mode, the color options are shown next to each markup type (previously, the options were missing and could only be changed after a markup was made).

FIXED: Selecting the "Print" option within the file viewer after using the merge template feature now has good quality instead of showing fuzzy (poor quality) in the previous release.

FIXED: The "expand" button on the Drawing Package log is correctly shown on the left side of the view, allowing users to open the package in full screen mode and navigate through the drawing files easily.

FIXED: When approving a contract form and removing today's date from the confirmation modal, users are able to reselect today's date, instead of that date being disabled.
