Connect and Use Docusign for Electronic Signatures
Connect your own Docusign account to send merged documents out for legally binding electronic signature directly from ProjectTeam.com.
Connect Your Docusignign Account
Note: This feature is currently available to select companies and Subscriber users only. If your company is interested, please contact support@projectteam.com.
- Click your name in the upper right corner of the screen and choose My Page.
- On your "My Page", select Edit Profile.
- In the Edit Profile window, click the Connect Docusign button at the bottom left-hand side.
- You'll need your own Docusign account already; ProjectTeam.com does not provide one. Click Yes on the connection request to authorize the link between Docusign and ProjectTeam.com.
- Once authorized, your Docusign account is linked to your ProjectTeam.com profile. This can take a few seconds to finish connecting.
Send a Merged Document for Signature
- From any form, such as an RFI, select a record and click Print, then Merge to Template and choose the merge template you want to use, the same way you would for a standard merge. See Create a Merge Document for more on the merge process.
- On the merge output window, click the arrow next to Save & Download, then click Save & Send for Signature.
- The document is sent to Docusign as a draft envelope, and a confirmation message appears in ProjectTeam.com noting who it was sent to.
- Click the confirmation message to open Docusign in a new tab. You'll already be logged in through your connected account.
- In Docusign, add your recipients and place signature, initial, date, or other fields on the document as needed, then send it.
Track Signature Status
- Back in ProjectTeam.com, a banner appears on the original record noting the document was routed to Docusign, along with the date. A signed copy will be added to the record's attachments once every party has signed.
- Click Refresh to check for updates. Once all parties have signed, the banner turns green and shows the completion date.
- The signed document is automatically attached to the record. There may be a short delay between Docusign completion and the signed copy appearing in the attachment panel.
