MFA is an essential security measure that significantly enhances the protection of online accounts by requiring two forms of verification.
Caution: Adding MFA to your account will significantly enhance the protection of your account. However, once you turn MFA on, there is no way to turn it off. If a mistake has been made on your account related to MFA and you need help, please contact support@projectteam.com.
How to set up MFA for your account:
-
From the 'My Page' page, click the three-dotted ellipsis button at the top right, then select the Password/Authentication Management option.
- Select the Two-Factor Authentication tab at the top of the modal.
- Follow the two-step process by downloading a free authentication app. We recommend Duo, Google Authenticator, or Microsoft Authenticator. Within your MFA application, scan the QR code shown on the ProjectTeam.com screen. Once you have scanned the QR code within the app and followed the app's instructions, click Next.
Note: If you have never used the multi-factor authentication app before, you may be required to set up a password for that app. That password is separate from the password you use for ProjectTeam.com.
Once that is done, you should not be required to enter any data in your MFA app. The app will show ProjectTeam.com on the screen with a rotating 6-digit code. You will need to enter this code to verify that MFA is set up correctly and use the code when logging in to ProjectTeam.com.
4. To complete the MFA setup, you must verify the code before closing the modal window. Enter the 6-digit code found in your MFA app. Then click the Verify button.
5. If successful, you will see a green confirmation message under the "Two-Factor Authentication" tab. Close the modal by clicking the Close button.
From now on, when logging into ProjectTeam.com, enter your existing login information, and you will be taken to a Two-Factor Authentication code page (shown below). Enter the Two-Factor Code that you can find in your authentication app and select "Continue" to access your projects.
