Information from a project schedule can be populated into a report for data analysis purposes. The article below will explain how to get data from your schedule into a report.
Overview
Data from a project schedule can be reported on, similar to how data from all others forms can be reported on. The section below will give you step by step instructions on how to create a simple report based off of data from a project schedule.
Schedule Data In Reports
- To create a report based off of your schedule data, first go to the Report section of ProjectTeam form your project homepage.
- From there select the plus sign and Advanced Report.
- Enter a Report Name and a location for the report. Next Select Categories.
- In the Categories tab, select the categories that are relevant to the report including Schedule and Schedule Tasks.
- Navigate to the Layout tab, and begin to add all of your categories to fill out the layout of your report. Once you have completed your report layout, select Finish.
- After you select Finish, your report should should look something similar to the photo below.
- From here, you can continue to edit your report, customize the view and outcome of the report, as well as run the report. To run the report with data from your Project Schedule, select the blue Run button at the top of the report editor. Below is a photo of how your schedule report will appear.
After you have successfully created a custom report with data from your schedule, you can continue to edit/customize the report. This works the same as all other reports within ProjectTeam. Users can schedule the report to run as often as needed, and select recipients for the schedule report to send to.
