Obsoleting & Unobsoleting Form Types

If a form is no longer in use within ProjectTeam, users have the ability to make that form obsolete. The article below gives a detailed description on how to obsolete a form.

Overview

Forms within ProjectTeam are able to be obsoleted, meaning they will no longer be in use.  Forms that have been made obsolete, no changes can be made to the form.  However, a user can always unobsolete the form at any time.  Any user whether they are a subscriber or a contributor has the ability to obsolete and unobsolete a form.  

How To Obsolete A Form

  1. Enter the form that needs to be made obsolete, and click the three dot button in the top right-hand corner of the form.
  2. Select Obsolete
  3. A pop up will appear, asking if you are sure you want to Obsolete the form.  Click Yes.
  4. A red banner will now appear on your form showing it has been Obsoleted, and changes can no longer be made to that form.  If you would like to Unobsolete the form, follow the steps in the next section of this article.

How To Unobsolete A Form

  1. On your Project Homepage, scroll down to the Recently Created Forms pane, and select View All.
  2. Select the My Access button to sort the recently created forms,  this will show the obsoleted forms at the top of the view log.   
  3. Select the name of the form, in order to view that form's details.
  4. Once you are viewing the form, select the three dot button, and Unobsolete.   

This will Unobsolete the form making it editable in the future.  You will now be able to see your form in your form types log view, as you were able to see it prior to making the form obsolete.
