Overview
Once a schedule is created in ProjectTeam.com, you can make updates at any time to reflect changes in project timelines, task progress, or dependencies. This page guides you through how to update task details, adjust durations, modify dependencies, reorder tasks, and apply changes to working days or auto scheduling settings. Keeping your schedule up to date ensures accurate project tracking and better team coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Edit A Schedule
Note: Only the creator of a schedule has permission to edit it in ProjectTeam.com.
Non-creator users can view the schedule but cannot make changes. However, all users—regardless of permission level—can access related panels like Comments to support collaboration and communication.
- Inline Edit
- Once the schedule is created, users can edit each task by clicking into the section of the task they want to change.

- Duration
- When adding a duration to a task, users have the option to input zero.
- When a user adds a duration of zero days, this will change the task to a milestone, and populate the task with a Milestone marker.
- Link with Predecessors
- In the Predecessors column, add the task row number that you want to link the current task to. For example, if you want task #3 to be linked to task #5, type in 5 on row #3 Predecessor column. This will populate the Gantt Chart with a grey arrow connecting the two tasks.

- Set Percentage Complete Per Task
- There are two ways to set the percentage complete per task. You can enter in a percentage in the % column, or slide the task bar over with your cursor to reveal a green section of the task bar.

- Add Notes
- Notes can be added to each task by clicking into the notes column and entering in text. To reveal the notes section, simply slide the Gantt chart over to extend the information on the left side of the schedule.

- Subtasks & Delete Tasks
- To add a subtask, or to delete a task, right click on the existing task to reveal both options.
- A subtask will create a new task and place it under the main task. The main task will have a button next to it with the option to show or hide the subtasks.

- Reorder Tasks
- Tasks within a schedule can be reordered after they have been created. To reorder the tasks, drag and drop the task into a different location on the schedule.
- Today Line
- On the Schedule, a line will appear over "Todays Date", to endure the reader knows where the current days is in relation to the overall schedule.

- Save vs. Cancel
- After editing the schedule, you must save it in order for your changes to populate. If you select the cancel button, your changes will not be saved.
